Happy New year! We hope that you have thoroughly enjoyed the festivities. We are looking forward to seeing you all again.
On Friday 5th January, we will be having our Titanic Wow day, where the children will have the opportunity to come to school dressed as either a 1st or 3rd class passenger ready to board the Titanic!
We have had a fantastic day in Rabbits class, wearing our Christmas jumpers!
Have a quick look at our photos of festive fun.
In Rabbits, we have been working hard to learn our 3,4 and 8 times tables and the corresponding number facts. We have found many different ways to represent our times tables. We have shown we are now more confident in using the 'Build it, draw it, write it' method to support our understanding.
Rabbits have had a great time this afternoon foraging for items to make our own paint from, just like our Stone Age ancestors would for their cave paintings. We used flowers, berries and soil to create a range of colours.
The Year 3's had a wonderful time at Wandlebury last week. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather all day which really lifted our spirits! We had the opportunity to walk around the Iron Age Hill fort, winnowing grain, milling flour and finally cooking bread over a fire. Not to mention a little time for playing in the sunshine.
What a great way to start a new half term... Today we have gone back in time to the Stone-Age. We enjoyed learning about the importance of fire and creating our Stone Age tools.
Year 3 had a wonderful afternoon at the Coco Jeavons restaurant. They thoroughly enjoyed being served their savory snacks and creamy chocolate. Most children enjoyed the milk chocolate, however we had some mixed reviews on the dark chocolate.
Welcome to Rabbit Class. We are very excited to get to know you this year. We have a very exciting learning journey ahead. Looking forward to seeing you all again on Tuesday.
