Interventions

We aim to provide the children with the best possible provision suited to their needs.  Children with Special Educational Needs often need additional provision and we have a number of interventions we use.

Interventions are schemes of work we can follow to meet a range of needs; they can target academic areas such as spelling, reading, writing, number but also social and emotional areas such as increasing self-esteem and controlling emotions.

 

Some interventions take place once or twice a week.  Some can be daily.  Children need access to high quality teaching inputs so interventions usually take place at appropriate times of the day that do not disrupt children taking part in these.
